Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 13, 2026
This separate policy explains Corwood Labs, LLC's collection, use, sharing, and consumer rights concerning health data in ChefMate under Washington, Nevada, and Connecticut law, where applicable.
Categories, sources, and purposes
We may collect allergies, medical dietary restrictions, conditions, symptoms, and other health details in your questions, notes, recipes, photos, imported materials, or support messages, including health information inferred or derived from them and linked to you. Sources are you, materials or services you import from, and results derived by us or processing providers.
We process this data for requested cooking and kitchen features, storage and sync, text and image interpretation, responses, safety, security, support, and legal obligations. Additional purposes may include research, development, training and improving our or permitted recipients' AI and models, analytics, marketing, advertising, measurement, referrals, and commercial partnerships, subject to legal and platform restrictions and required consent.
Sharing and recipients
The submitted and derived health-data categories above may reach hosting and infrastructure providers, AI providers and intermediaries when enabled, analytics and diagnostics providers, support and professional advisers, and recipients you choose for publication or export. Legally permitted disclosures and business transfers may reach authorities or successors. Future sharing may involve advertising, marketing, analytics, research, model-development, referral and other business partners, or affiliates for disclosed, permitted purposes. Affiliate recipients must be specifically identified in this policy before sharing; legally required disclosures and consent apply.
Consent and sale
Covered collection requires consent and covered sharing requires separate consent where required. Washington and Nevada permit collection or sharing necessary for a service you request; Connecticut sensitive-data consent requirements and applicable legal exceptions still apply. Additional health-data categories, purposes, or recipients require disclosures and consent as required by law. Sale requires legally required consent or separate signed authorization; general AI permission is not a sale authorization. Consent cannot override legal or platform prohibitions.
Where consent is required, withdrawal must be at least as easy as granting it. Stop future AI sharing in Account settings (AI data sharing). Email support@mychefmate.app for other collection or sharing withdrawal requests or to revoke a sale authorization.
Rights, deletion, and retention
Email support@mychefmate.app with Health data request to confirm collection, sharing, or sale; access data; obtain required recipient lists and contact details; withdraw consent; or request deletion. Edit supported fields in the app or request correction by email. No new account is required. Required verification, lawful exceptions, and statutory deadlines apply.
We retain health data as reasonably needed for disclosed purposes, based on record type, account and feature needs, unresolved requests or disputes, security, and legal obligations. Required deletion includes notifying affiliates, processors, contractors, and third parties and addressing archived and backup copies as law requires. Statutory deletion duties control. We maintain and use de-identified health data only in de-identified form and do not attempt to re-identify it.
To appeal, reply to the decision or email with Health data appeal. If denied, complain to the Washington Attorney General, Nevada Attorney General, or Connecticut Attorney General, as applicable.
